Unforgettable Hot Springs Ideal for Yoga Lovers

Looking for more moments of zen on the water? Homestead Crater hosts one-of-a-kind paddle board yoga sessions within its 55-foot limestone dome. The paddle boards are provided for you, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own.

Exciting River and Lake Paddle Board Excursions

Park City delivers a wealth of waterways ideal for summer fun, including stand up paddle boarding. Jordanelle Reservoir is fed by the Provo River and offers three options for paddle board recreation: Hailstone, Ross Creek, and Rock Cliff. Plus, Hailstone has a full-service marina where you can rent all your essential equipment.

If you don’t mind bringing your paddle board with you, Mirror Lake, Weber River, and Lower Provo River all offer excellent waters for SUPing. Since you won’t find any rental shops or marinas nearby, you’ll want to ensure you have everything on hand for your day on the water.

Getting Ready: What Should You Pack?

Part of a great paddle board adventure is to be entirely prepared for the elements. In addition to your board, paddle, and life vest, there are a few other essentials you’ll want to have on hand.

  • Proper Clothing: Rashguards, wetsuits, or comfortable bathing suits are must-haves. Also, don’t forget waterproof shoes or sandals.

  • Sun Block: Park City sunshine is strong, so avoid sunburns by packing waterproof sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Remember to reapply sunscreen after getting wet.

  • Safety Gear: A first-aid kit, whistle, compass, and headlamps are great to have handy in case of injury.

If you need to re-up on your water-related supplies, visit Jans, our local outdoor sports store. They’ll have everything you need and more! Also, don’t forget to download our paddle board checklist for a more comprehensive list of items to pack.
