Park City Lodging Summer Update
New Check-in Office: Park City Lodging is pleased to announce the opening of our Main Street area check-in office. Located in the Rio Grande building at 820 Park Ave. This new check-in location will serve all of our Main Street area properties for added convenience to our guests.
The historical Rio Grande building has been updated and expanded to include luxury ski-in & ski-out penthouses. Park City Lodging’s newest check-in office is located on the ground floor of the Rio Grande building among other local businesses and shops.
Bike Rack: In May, Park City Lodging was awarded one of six bike racks from the Park City Area Lodging Association. The bike racks were funded through the Summit County Restaurant Tax grant money. “It’s a great way to promote biking in Park City and encourages our staff to ride their bikes to the office,” said Park City Lodging President, Rhonda Sideris. The bike rack has been installed on the south side of our office at 1897 Prospector Ave.
Rooftop Garden: As part of Park City Lodging’s green building initiative, incorporating a green or “living” rooftop was crucial. Not only do our roof top gardens offset (or absorb) carbon, they give our staff the opportunity to grow their own food. As summer goes into full swing, our green thumbs have been busy at work! Getting dirt into the planting beds was the first challenge. Replenish Landscape Garden Products out of Salt Lake City was able to pump 8 cubic yards of soil into our garden beds. It was no easy task, but they creatively came up with a system of ladders to move the soil up to our 4th floor roof. It sure beat having to move that soil up 4 flights of stairs. Each bed was adopted by a member of the staff to plant and cultivate throughout the growing season. A mix of vegetables, fruits, and native bee-friendly flowers have been planted. A drip watering system will be installed to keep the plants well hydrated as they soak up the Park City summer sun.
