Park City’s mountain setting, magnificent beauty, and long history inspire artists and regularly bring art lovers to our charming town. With countless ways to explore what makes Park City’s art scene unique, from historic theaters to independent films and Park City gallery strolls on historic Main Street, there’s something for everyone to appreciate.

Explore Park City Films and Theater

Park City is renowned for pioneering a robust appreciation of film culture. Film makers, celebrities, and fans from around the world flock to our mountain town in January to partake in one of the world’s most admired film festivals: Sundance. That love for cinema and dramatic arts has translated into a vibrant film and stage scene that Parkites and visitors can enjoy year-round.

Egyptian Theatre: Park City’s most beloved theater dates back to our town’s rich miner history. Originally constructed in the late 1800s as the Park City Opera House, the Egyptian went through a few name changes, facelifts, and locations, before officially becoming our Main Street music hall. Patrons will discover outstanding shows, from local bands, famous singer-songwriters, musicals, holiday sing-a-longs, and more.

They offer a weekend film series at the Santy Auditorium from September to June every year, where you’ll see innovative movies from around the globe. They also boast a plethora of exciting foreign, kid-focused films and summer drive-in movies at the Utah Olympic Park.
