Park City Lodging, Inc. Sponsors The Commute Crew’s “CommUtah”

Park City Lodging, Inc., premier provider of vacation rental and home management services, is excited to announce its sponsorship of The Commute Crew’s next journey the CommUtah. The Commute Crew is on a mission to demonstrate the connectivity of multi-use trails between cities and places of recreation. The Commute Crew will “commute” by mountain bike from downtown Salt Lake City, Utah to Moab, Utah. The journey will take seven days of riding on single track and multi-purpose dirt roads.

Park City Lodging, Inc. is a longtime supporter of IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association), Mountain Trails Foundation, and Mountain Bike Park City. With mountain biking partners like JANS and White Pine Touring the sponsorship happened naturally after Kurt Gensheimer reached out to Park City Lodging, Inc.’s President, Rhonda Sideris. Park City Lodging, Inc. will support The Commute Crew by providing lodging after the first leg of CommUtah journey, a 40 mile and 6,000 feet of climb over Miller Creek Canyon and the Wasatch Crest.

Rhonda Sideris is excited about the project as it showcases Utah in a unique light. “I think the big take away from this trip is how connected the Wasatch and the rest of Utah’s trail systems really are. Mountain bikers always hear the same message that Park City has over 400 miles of single track trail and that Park City is the only Gold Level Ride Center in the world, but the Commute Crew will show what’s really possible when you mountain bike in Utah.”

The Commute Crew is a comprised of three riders: James Adamson, Kurt Gensheimer, and Justin Schwartz. Additional support will be provided by John Shafer and Elisabeth Johnson. The Commute Crew will ride “commute style” by carrying only the most essential gear that each rider will need to complete each leg of the journey. The rest of the equipment needed to complete the journey will be supplied along the way in a support vehicle.
