Everything You Need to Know About Park City Parking, Maps & More

Simplify your parking experience in Park City by knowing all your parking options before planning your trip. These three helpful tips give you basic knowledge so you can plan ahead.

Parking Tips for Your Park City Vacation

Navigating Park City Main Street Parking

Our historic Old Town is a hub for some of the best vacation destination activities in Park City: world-class restaurants, unique galleries, museums, and boutique shops. If you plan to spend ample time on Main Street, here’s what you need to know about our parking system.

Paid Parking Areas: Convenient paid parking areas are found lining Main Street itself, as well as the Top of Main Brew Pub, located at the upper-most point of Main Street. You can also find hourly paid parking options in the China Bridge structure located on Swede Alley.

Paid Parking Hours and Cost: Please note that parking hours and costs do vary seasonally. You can access the most up-to-date parking information, including FAQs and more, at ParkCity.org

Special Needs Parking: Any paid parking spot is free for anyone with a mobility disability. A state-approved license plate or a permit is required for parking free of charge.  Travelers will also find a wealth of ADA parking stalls in our downtown area.

Using Park City’s Parking App: Downtown paid parking is managed through our city-wide parking app. The system is a breeze to use and doesn’t require you to carry around change or insert a credit card. Go Park City can be easily downloaded and works with both Apple and Android products.

To use:

  • Download the app and enter your payment and car information.

  • Enter your zone number found on meter decals or posted signage in lots.

  • “Fund your wallet,” to pay for your space.

  • Go enjoy Park City!

You can designate how much time you would like to pay for via the app and re-up minutes as needed. However, remember that if you’ve reached the 3-hour limit, you aren’t able to add extra parking time.

How Do You Get Around Park City Without Driving?

Are you visiting Park City without your transportation or just want to take a break from driving? You are in luck. Our town has incredible free public transportation, letting you explore all major attractions and activities.

Park City’s fleet includes 13 zero-emission electric buses, contributing to reduced emissions and less road congestion. Fare-free transit is a wonderful option for visitors who value sustainable practices, just like we do! If you’re a first-time bus rider, you can find all the information you need to plan ahead for your trip here.

Public Bus Transit: Park City has a wealth of bus stops in and around Old Town that connect you to all of Park City, including Deer Valley Resort, Canyons Village, and Kimball Junction. Bus stops are designated by vibrant blue signs. Find schedules at parkcity.org or by using the bus tracker system.

Park and Ride: Another option we love for our guests is the Richardson Flat Park & Ride with direct shuttle service to Main Street and the ski resorts so you don’t have to worry about parking. Plus, it runs every 20 minutes, seven days a week. For more information about park-and-rides, resort parking, and more, take a look at how to get around in Park City.

Main Street Trolley: What better way to experience all Main Street has to offer than a hop-on-hop-off trolley? The vintage-looking streetcar runs daily from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Hop on and off at your leisure for the ultimate convenience in Old Town transit. The trolley also stops at the Old Town Transit Center so you can easily connect to our other bus lines.
