Getting Ready: Packing for Your SUP Adventure

Part of a great paddleboard adventure is being ready for the elements. While our weather in Park City is great, you’ll want to ensure you are prepared for the sun and temperature changes.

In addition to your board, paddle, and life vest, you’ll want to have a few other essentials on hand.

  • Proper Clothing: Rashguards, wetsuits, or comfortable bathing suits are must-haves. Also, don’t forget waterproof shoes or sandals.

  • Sunblock: Park City's sunshine is strong, so avoid sunburns by packing waterproof sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Remember to reapply sunscreen after getting wet.

  • Safety Gear: A first-aid kit, whistle, compass, and headlamps are great to have handy in case of injury.

If you need to re-up on your water-related supplies, visit Jans, our local outdoor sports store. They’ll have everything you need and more! Also, don’t forget to download our paddle board checklist for a more comprehensive list of items to pack.
