Park City Events and Activities to Explore this Winter

Our concierge team has put together a comprehensive list of all the must-dos this holiday season!

Holiday Skiing in Park City

Hit the slopes this holiday season! Park City Mountain, the largest ski resort in the U.S., offers majestic views, fresh powder, and world-class skiing for every skill level. The fun doesn’t stop there, however! In addition to hundreds of runs, you’ll discover elevated dining options and plenty of luxury properties to maximize your time on the mountain.

The mountain comes alive with exceptional eats and killer slopes in November and stays open throughout winter*.

Sensational Snowfest

Speaking of Park City Mountain, our annual Snowfest celebration is not to be missed! Encompassing two weeks of winter and holiday-themed activities, you can participate in the festivities during Christmas and into the New Year! Enjoy concerts, massive ice sculpting displays at the mountain base and Canyons Village, visits from Santa, an explosive NYE fireworks display, and more!

Stunning Torchlight Parades

One of the most dazzling and unique holiday celebrations has to be Park City’s Torchlight parades. If you’ve never had the joy of experiencing one in person, imagine dark skies and white slopes lit up by people weaving their way down the mountain with vibrant torches, illuminating everything in their path. It’s truly something to behold. And since we love to do things big in Park City, we have two different torch experiences to enjoy.

  • Park City Mountain on December 24, 2021: Starts at 3:00 with live music and other festivities.

  • Deer Valley’s Snow Park Plaza on December 30, 2021: Starts at 6:00 with hot cocoa and plenty of nearby food options.

Dinner and a Show Downtown

Park City’s historic Egyptian Theater hosts a plethora of holiday-themed events in December. Travel back in time to the soothing sounds of the ’60s with The Lettermen Christmas Show, flex your vocal cords with Park City’s Holiday Spectacular and Community Sing-A-Long, or ring in the New Year with doo-wop legends The Drifters

Enjoy a pre-show libation and snack at Old Town Cellars or make reservations at Twisted Fern for an after-show dinner.

Heber Valley North Pole Express

Combine scenic sights and Christmas-time adventure with a 90-minute excursion through mountain passes on our quaint North Pole Express train ride. Each train car comes from a different era of the mighty railroad—one even as early as 1913! Sit back, soak in the sights, enjoy holiday music, and expect a visit from Santa. This popular event can book quickly, so make sure to buy tickets in advance of your Park City trip.

New Year Fireworks on the Mountain

Bid farewell to 2021 with a magical evening at Canyons Village at Park City Mountain. Park City’s ultimate firework display boasts live music until the sun sets and the fireworks begin. If you are looking for a delectable bite before ringing in the new year, make reservations at Riverhorse on Main or take the whole family out for a pizza party at Este Pizza Co.
