International Women’s Snow Day

Encouraging Women to Celebrate Camaraderie by Having Fun On and Off the Mountain

Saturday, January 12, 2019 is a great day to go skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding or just get out and play in the snow – it’s the 6th annual International Women’s Snow Day! Presented by the K2 Alliance and SheJumps, International Women’s Snow Day encourages women to get together and celebrate camaraderie by having fun on and off the mountain, in (or near) the snow.

The conditions for skiing and snowboarding are amazing right now at our local resorts, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort. There’s great coverage on limitless trails for cross country skiing; try out the groomed trails at White Pine Touring Nordic Center, or take your girlfriends and fur babies out on the dog friendly trails at Round Valley. Snowshoes, fat bikes, even sleighs and sledding are all great ways to play with the girls in the greatest snow on earth. Alta Ski Area has a full day planned including skiing (and a beginner lesson!) and an apres ski party with a raffle drawing for great prizes. Go to Alta IWSD 2019 for more information and to sign up.

If you’re just not feeling it for activities, International Women’s Snow Day is still a terrific reason to get the girls together for lunch or “Apres Ski”. Enjoy a refreshing beverage slopeside at Royal Street Café at Deer Valley or the Umbrella Bar at Park City Mountain Canyons Village. Or, stay in town at local favorites like Wine Dive or No Name.

Join the party – women from all around the world are invited, so grab a friend and get outside in the snow!
