Upcoming Performances at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts

The Eccles Center for the Performing Arts is a cultural hub in Park City, bringing a wide variety of musical, dance and theater acts to town every year. Mummenschanz – April 4

For more than 40 years, the Swiss group Mummenschanz has been delighting audiences with its unique mime-like dance and theater performances. Appearing in masks and costumes that border on the bizarre, the Mummeschanz performers tell a story without words through the creative use of shadow, light and objects. Catch Mummenschanz at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts on April 4.

Hot Sardines – April 11

Take a trip back to the brassy jazz of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s when Hot Sardines comes to the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts on April 11. This eight-person group consists of soul-tingling brass, a stirring rhythm section led by a stride-piano, and the soaring English and French vocals of Miz Elizabeth. In 2014, Hot Sardines launched their debut self-titled album that mixes jazz classics with songs of their own creation. You won’t want to miss them when they come to Park City in April!

An Evening With Neil Gaiman – April 18

Best-selling author comes to the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts stage with a reputation for putting on intelligent, resonating performances. In addition to his work as the author of the best-selling fantasy novel American Gods, Gaiman has written more than 20 other books, as well as screenplays, song lyrics, comics and other works. His live performances have gained widespread acclaim with his speech “Make Good Art” going viral with more than 1.5 million views online.

Alonzo King Lines Ballet – April 25

Modernism will meet classical ballet when the Alonzo King Lines Ballet takes to the stage at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts on April 25. Visionary choreographer Alonzo King has changed the way we look at ballet. The 11-member LINE ballet company will present an innovative program to the animal “soundscapes” of bio-acoustician Dr. Bernie Krause. Get your tickets today to the Alonzo King Lines Ballet make its debut in Park City.
