Park City End Of Winter Wrap Up

Now that the Park City 2015/16 winter has come to a close, it is time to reflect on the great accomplishments the ski season brought to Park City and Park City Lodging, Inc.  First and foremost, we at Park City Lodging, Inc. want to thank all of our guests and strategic partners for another triumphant winter.  We could not have achieved the successes we attained without you.  Our goal was to provide stellar services and opportunities for our visitors and vendors and we fulfilled that goal.  We welcomed many return guests and familiar faces  along with a record number of groups and a host of new guests, providing the values guests seek in our variety of accommodations.

Guest Services reached a new high with an expanded full-time Concierge Desk offering a full roster of services and activities to guests prior to arrival.  From ground transportation to restaurant reservations to arranging special activities, the staff was successful in assisting guests with many details to ensure a memorable stay.  We implemented a convenient new pre-registration program which enabled the check-in process to go more smoothly for large groups and guests who were arriving after hours.  Our new keyless entry code locks on the majority of our condos provided the ultimate in quality and convenience with hard keys being replaced by an easy four or six digit code… no more keys to keep tabs on!  The keyless code entry worked hand in hand with the pre-registration.  Our guests loved it!

Winter started off with a bang as incredible storm after incredible storm pounded the Wasatch Front.  It seemed like the good old days with most Utah ski resorts measuring snow totals in feet instead of inches.  Frequent December and January storms covered our mountains in pristine blankets of Utah’s famous powder snow and as a result, Park City saw record numbers of skiers and riders come through town to experience “The Greatest Snow on Earth”.   February debuted with warm weather and for the entire month we experienced spring skiing at its best with temperatures in the 40’s- 50’s.  Instead of talking about bundling up, we talked about “don’t forget your sunscreen!”  Our Park City area resorts experienced the full gamut of conditions in Winter 2016, and it will go down as one of the best in recent memory.   We hope that you had the chance to experience all Park City has to offer and hope to see you again in for the 2016/2017 ski season.

We hope to see everyone again next year for another epic season. New properties are added to our portfolio frequently so make sure to keep up with  our large, spacious vacation homes by visiting: www.parkcitylodging.com.

Winter Hits Park City

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Park City through this afternoon, and we can see why! We woke up yesterday with smiles on our faces because of the dusting we got overnight. That snow melted as the sun came out yesterday afternoon, but we were greeted with another pleasant surprise this morning! It’s been dumping snow all morning, and continues to come down in Park City at about an inch each hour! Park City Mountain Resort turned on their guns to bolster Mother Nature’s efforts last night in preparation for opening day November 17, and Canyons is getting ready for their November 23 opening too. We’re very excited for this winter, and hope that the early snow is an indication of what we should expect all season.

Snow makes whiteness where it falls,
The bushes look like popcorn balls.
The places where I always play,
Look like somewhere else today.
