Park City is home to an incredible variety of art galleries, from paintings to sculptures to photography. Stroll up and down historic Main Street to visit nearly 2 dozen galleries. From May through December, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the last Friday of each month, members of the Gallery Association present a showcase event highlighting artists, special exhibits and art events. Park City’s Gallery Stroll is a must attend event when visiting. It’s a free community event that gives locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while exploring Park City’s exciting art scene. The Meyer Gallery was established in 1965 in Park City, Utah, in the former First Bank of Utah building. It has evolved into four thriving, independently owned fine art galleries, and is one of the most respected galleries in the Western United States. Legendary nature photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen has traveled throughout the natural world for nearly 40 years observing and photographing the Earth’s last great wild places. He is considered one of the most prolific nature photographers of our time. Tom was named the 2011 Conservation Photographer of the Year by Nature’s Best Photography, placing his work in the permanent collection at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. He was also was named one of the 40 Most Influential Nature Photographers by Outdoor Photography, among many other awards.
