Park City Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is a relaxing way to enjoy the winter terrain and gain a unique and peaceful vantage of Park City’s trail system in the wintertime. If you wish to explore on your own, you can rent snowshoes at JANS. However, if this is your first time snowshoeing or you’d like to take advantage of a local’s knowledge of the best and most beautiful spots to adventure, we recommended a guided snowshoe with one of our favorites at either All Seasons Adventures or White Pine Touring.
All Seasons Adventures caters to families and corporate groups providing snowshoeing in Park City. Individuals 6 years old and older with all levels of snowshoeing experience are welcome on snowshoe tours. You will find that each time you go out you are one on one with your guide or grouped with people of your same ability level and interests.
JANS rents snowshoes for everyone, so you can get out and explore without finding yourself neck-deep in a snowbank. JANS carries Atlas snowshoes for running and standard trekking.

The Wasatch Mountains offer some of the finest backcountry skiing opportunities in the world. Plentiful snowfall and excellent terrain mean that you won’t have to look very far to find endless slopes of untracked powder. The backcountry can be a dangerous place, however, and only experienced skiers with proper knowledge and skills should venture off the beaten path. A better alternative is to hook up with a local guide service. Trained guides know exactly where to go and have many years of experience with the backcountry. We recommend trying Park City Powder Cats or White Pine Touring for guided backcountry services.
Park City Powder Cats operates just minutes outside of Park City on over 40,000 acres of family owned land in the Uinta Mountains called The Thousand Peaks Ranch. With a plentitude of terrain and Utah’s infamous powder conditions, Park City Powder Cats is able to bring guests on the trip of a lifetime! Park City Powder Cats’ base of operations is at 7,600 feet to the soaring top of Windy Peak at nearly 11,000 feet. Choose Park City Powder Cats to enjoy a wide variety of terrain that includes incredible open bowls, steep chutes and some of the best tree skiing in all of Utah.
High in the Uinta Mountains or right around town, outstanding vistas and a wonderful feeling of seclusion await you. Let their experienced tour guides take you on a picturesque adventure in the nearby Uintas Range (approximately 20 miles from Park City).
