There are over 400 miles of public, continuous, non-motorized trails close to town, allowing you to explore a different path each time you head out. The ski areas offer Hiking trails with lift access in the summer, providing a unique opportunity to explore high alpine environments in the warmer months. Hiking in Park City is a must for any summer visitor.
Located within minutes of Park City, both the Provo River and the Weber River are blue-ribbon trout streams. Both rivers, nestled between the Uinta and Wasatch Mountains, are home to healthy populations of brown and rainbow trout. With raging rivers, meandering creeks and several reservoirs in our neighborhood, there are many ways to cool off and enjoy family friendly Water Activities. The Provo River, Jordanelle Reservoir and Deer Creek Reservoir are all within a short drive. Take an SUP (stand up paddle board) lesson, rent a kayak, go rafting or tubing, try a jet ski or rent a fishing boat for some water fun.
