Spring Concert Series
Park City Mountain kicks off its annual Spring Concert Series on Saturday, February 13. The free après concerts happen every Saturday on the Canyons Village stage and in the Park City Base Area. The concerts will groove the village stage, showcasing rock, blues, reggae and global sounds.
Bryon Friedman & Friends: on the Canyons Village Stage
From spacious ballads, smoke filled grooves, and tongue-in-cheek pop songs, Bryon Friedman easily navigates the over-crowded waters of the singer-songwriter domain and sails gently and confidently toward firm ground. “Matchstick Memories”, Bryon’s second full length release is full of autobiographical storytelling, direct communication and wishful thinking.
John Brown’s Body: on the Canyons Village Stage
John Brown’s Body is a contemporary American reggae band that steps outside the normal standards of the genre, incorporating elements of other beats to create a fresh sound anyone can enjoy. The band formed in Ithaca, NY in the 1990’s, and has since exploded their identity through experimentation of instruments and vocals. “Land Of Plenty Dub” and “Bread” are two hits that demonstrate the variety within their sound.
Motherlode Canyon Band: on the PayDay Deck Stage at Legacy Lodge
Formed in 1993, the Park City based Motherlode Canyon Band centers their sound around strong vocals, guitar work and energy. The band’s repertoire extends from acoustic and folk, to classic rock and progressive rock. You may recognize their name and their sound from one of several of their appearances throughout the 2002 Olympics, when they opened for Sheryl Crow at her Park City show.
