Blind Boys of Alabama (w/ Tony Holiday & The Velvetones opening)
The Blind Boys of Alabama are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music. Celebrated by The National Endowment for the Arts and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and winners of five Grammy® Awards, they have attained the highest levels of achievement in a career that spans over 60 years.
Canyons will once again have our amazing and FREE Saturday Summer Concert Series. On select Saturdays, beginning July 11th and ending September 5th, we will have FREE live music starting at 6:00pm. The Cabriolet will be open until 9:30 pm on concert Saturdays.
Blankets, picnics and chairs will not be allowed in the concert venue until 4:00pm. And due to the popularity of these concerts, we would appreciate carpooling, taking public transportation or riding your bicycle to the show!
Note on Chairs: Due to the steepness of our new concert venue, guests may bring their own chair to our concerts provided that the chair height is 9″ or less. “Low back” chairs are therefore allowed, but camping chairs and chairs with sharp legs are not allowed. There are no exceptions to this rule and guests bringing chairs that do not meet this requirement will be asked to take them back to their vehicles. Chairs meeting the height requirements are available for purchase at Canyon Mountain Sports.
