This fall, the Park City Autumn Aloft Festival returns after a sudden 20 year hiatus. The festival will coincide with the final weekend of the Park Silly Sunday Market, September 19 through the 21st.
More than 30 years ago, Park City resident Gene Moser and a group of local hot air balloon pilots set out to create the classiest Hot Air Balloon festival in the world. Their idea was to create a balloon festival that reflected the free-spirited, anything-goes exuberance of Park City; Autumn Aloft was the brainchild of these passionate balloonists.

Friday, September 19
Saturday, September 20
7:00 – 9:30 a.m. Main Launch at the North 40 Fields. Gather to witness the colorful and breathtaking synchronized takeoff of over 15 hot-air balloons. The launch will take place on the North 40 field, directly behind the Treasure Mountain Middle School located 2530 Kearns Blvd, Park City, UT 84060. Ample parking is provided at the Park City High School and Eccles Center as well. Additionally, you may park at China Bridge on Swede Alley behind Main Street and take the free shuttle to the event.
8:00 – 9:30 p.m. Historic Park City Balloon Glow, which will involve three balloons, is planned to occur on and close to Swede Alley. The passenger baskets will be secured to the ground.
