Whether you’re a die hard taking off a morning or afternoon, or a non-skier or visiting with kids or others who don’t ski, there are lots of options to get outside and enjoy crisp mountain air and playing in the snow.
Park City Lodging’s concierge services team can help you plan your off-slope adventures before your stay, or on the fly if you get here and find your plans changing. Some ideas for fun off the slopes in the itinerary below:
Day 1 – Start off your trip with the not-to-be-missed Utah Olympic Park. The UOP hosted the sliding and Nordic ski jumping and Nordic combined events in the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and it remains a vibrant and exciting international training and competition venue. Feel the thrill of it all riding the Winter Extreme Zipline or challenging yourself on the Winter Summit Course. For those age 16+ the most authentic Olympic sensation is the Winter Bobsled Experience. You can make a full day of it with a guided tour and the engaging Quinney Welcome Center & Museums, grabbing lunch in the Café.
Day 2 – Brand new this year and certain to become a wildly popular part of the Park City experience, Woodward Park City is a world-class, year-round action sports destination. There’s something to do for everyone, all day and into the evening including lift-served tubing and indoor trampoline.

Here in Park City we love our bikes, all year long. Long-time local mountain recreation experts, Jans offers fat bike rentals in the winter. Bikes with fat tires are a great way to explore the trails in the area, and another, fun way to commute around town.
Day 4 – If you really want to get cover a lot of ground and get into the wilderness, there’s nothing like the rush of snowmobiling. Daniels Summit is a short drive and a world away for 40 miles of groomed trails and amazing adventure. They offer guided and self-guided tours, and limitless fun.
If non-motorized is more your style, Rocky Mountain Outfitters offers horse-drawn sleigh rides through the beautiful countryside. Make it a romantic ride with just you and your sweetheart, or a festive group ride with the kids; either way it’s certain to be a delightful, lasting memory.
Whether it’s in your home or a vacation rental, a soak in a hot tub can soothe the soul as well as tired muscles. And if you’re on a ski vacation, it follows that having a warm, clean, bubbling tub would be an important part of the plan. But keeping hot tubs in working order is no small task, especially in winter.
Park City Lodging’s Director of Maintenance Wade Street explained, “We service every hot tub, every day during the winter. We shovel the decks and areas surrounding the tubs to make sure people have easy and safe access to the tub. We clean off the covers and panels so they’re neat, look good and don’t transfer dirt into the water when they’re opened. We test and balance out the water so it is safe to use, comfortably warm and the water is free of dirt and debris. We also check the operation of the tub to make sure all the jets and lights work.”
So thanks to our team’s expertise, you can be confident that hot tubs in Park City Lodging’s care are ready when you need to slip into warm water and let tensions slip away.
