Deer Valley Resort
Deer Valley revolutionized the ski industry by being the first North American resort to provide the first-class service one would find at a five-star hotel and never stopped striving to better their guests’ ski vacation experience. Deer Valley offers luxurious amenities such as three beautiful on-mountain day lodges, groomed-to-perfection slopes, powder-laden glade skiing and ten on-mountain restaurants offering unforgettable award-winning cuisine. The sorts of services that have put Deer Valley on the map include ski valets, complimentary day and over night ski storage and an award-winning ski school. With 2,026 total skiable acres, you are likely to find plenty of untracked snow. Deer Valley limits the number of lift tickets to 7,500 sold daily, and their many high-speed lifts have provided the resort with the designation of having one of the highest uphill capacities in America.
Deer Valley was ranked #2 by readers of SKI Magazine for the 2013-14 ski season, and it proudly hosted the 2002 Olympic Winter Games slalom, aerial and mogul events.
This season, Deer Valley has invested $8 million in improvements that will include the replacement of the Deer Crest chairlift on Little Baldy Peak with a high-speed detachable quad, to be named “Mountaineer Express,” that will increase the uphill skier capacity by 1,200 skiers per hour. Deer Valley is also expanding snowmaking capabilities to more terrain in Empire Canyon, purchasing additional low-energy, air-water snowmaking guns and five additional Prinoth Snowcats. Building improvements include a remodel at the Snow Park Restaurant and replacing the wooden deck at Empire Canyon Lodge with heated pavers.
