Park City Mountain Resort ~ Park City Lodging
Park City Mountain Resorts is ranked #5 in North America by Ski Magazine Readers
As one of the largest and most varied mountain resorts in the country, PCMR offers a large variety of trails for all types of skiers or boarders that it is easy to please everyone in a group. This is one of the only places in the world where you can ride a ski lift right from the middle of town (the Town Lift base station is between Main Street and Park Avenue) and then ski right back down into town.
Park City Lodging represents convenient lodging options nestled right around the Town Lift and those include Park City condo rentals at Lift Lodge, Town Lift, Park Station, and Town Pointe. It forms another “resort center” on Main Street with all the advantages of easy ski access plus the many dining, shopping, gallery, and nightlife options on Main Street.
Park City Mountain Resort celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2008! It recently underwent a $10 million upgrade which included replacing the Ski Team chair lift with a new high-speed quad lift. PCMR’s resort village is located 1/2 mile from Main Street and features five lifts getting skiers and boarders off to a quick start. Park City Mountain Resort continually wins top ratings and accolades for its terrain parks, high-speed lift network, and a multitude of varied bowls and runs for all abilities. This year PCMR was recognized as #1 in North America for terrain parks by the Transworld Snowboarder magazine for the fourth consecutive year! Park City Utah activities are available to do all year round whether it’s summer or winter.
This year Park City Mountain Resort is significantly expanding their operations to now include Three Kings lift-serviced terrain, and now the resort has announced even bigger plans for the upcoming ski season.
Besides adding 23 percent more trails to its nighttime offerings, the resort will be placing snowmaking guns on Three Kings and Quicksilver for the first time, with seven fully automated fan guns.
Additionally, the infamous Pick-n-Shovel terrain park, a long-time favorite among those who frequent PCMR will now double in size during its first season available to night sessions under the lights.
All upgrades will be complete in time for the 2010-11 winter season.
